The Product Designer (M/F/D) works under the responsibility of the R&D Pole Manager and acts as support for Product Engineers (M/F/D).

The Product Designer (M/F/D) creates, develops and validates the product function/sub-function in line with customer expectations in compliance with given technical, quality, cost and deadline criteria. The Product Designer (M/F/D) is responsible for the technical solution chosen, ultimately assessed by the Product Engineer (M/F/D).

When the project is assigned to their scope of intervention, they conduct a study of the customer input data transmitted by the Product Engineer and the technical file (Specifications, etc.), and take into account the rating data transmitted by their management.
They organize and carry out the product design phases for the function/sub-function they are entrusted with, hand-in-hand with, where appropriate, the Technical Designer(s) (M/F/D):

• Creating 3D geometry;
• Creating drawings of components, sub-assemblies and assemblies;
• Product dimensioning (Calculations, simulations, etc.);
• DVP construction (on Proto parts, off tool, off process, IS, etc.) including sub-system tests useful for validating the correct performance of the sub-system they are responsible for.

We are looking for candidates with a background in Mechanical Engineering or similar, as well as knowledge of quality tools (e.g. APQP, AMDEC). You must have knowledge of 3D design software (CREO). Experience in the automotive sector is an asset. Proficiency in English (verbally and in writing) is mandatory and proficiency in French is recommended. We are looking for a dynamic person with a team spirit. Autonomy, adaptability and organization, a willingness to learn, as well as good communication skills are some of the skills desired for this position.
